Certified Advanced Fiber Optic Technician (Woodstock)

This course is designed for technicians who already possess the basic connector installation skills & theory of fiber optics. It is primarily a hands-on course with small lecture & demonstration sessions conducted. Attendees will analyze fiber optic networks and perform a loss budget analysis. Students will install fan-out kits on indoor/outdoor cable and terminate single-mode SC and multimode LC connectors and test their work. Students will perform mechanical and fusion splicing and install an OTDR. At the conclusion of the classroom instruction and hands-on laboratories, a written exam will be administered. Course fee includes study materials, text book, exam and certification fee.
